Phoneme Segmentation Boards

We know from research that phonological awareness is a critical foundational skill in developing strong, fluent reading and spelling.

These eight printable boards have been created to capture the interest of Kiwi kids. 

They are used to explicitly teach and provide guided practice in the phonemic awareness skill of phoneme segmentation. This is the ability to notice and identify the individual speech sounds in spoken words, and it is essential in learning to read and spell.
